Jared Markiewicz

Jared Markiewicz is the founder and CEO of Functional Integrated Training, Madison’s go-to strength and performance facility for people from all walks of life. Since opening in 2012, Jared has worked with a wide array of athletes including middle schoolers, collegiate and professional athletes, as well as adults – all looking to find the best version of themselves. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology with emphasis in Exercise and Movement Science from the University of Wisconsin-Madison. He’s also a Certified Personal Trainer through the American College of Sports Medicine (ACSM-CPT), an Advanced Sport Performance Coach through USA Weightlifting, a Level 2 Functional Movement Screen Specialist, a certified IYCA High School Strength & Conditioning Coach, a Precision Nutrition Level 1 Coach (PN1) and a golf fitness instructor through Titleist Performance Institute. Jared sits on the advisory board for the IYCA and is a professional member of both the National Strength and Conditioning Association and USA Weightlifting. He also loves to smile and make people happy, both inside and outside the gym. Having young daughters allows Jared to be a kid again himself, making him realize the need for the opportunity to feel young and playful. He feels everyone should make it a point to laugh HARD and do something fun every day, especially if it involves your spouse and kids! Jared enjoys spending quality time with a barbell, relaxing with a good book and qualifies himself a coffee, beer and bourbon snob.

I have a 13 Y.O. daughter in club softball, working out at F.I.T. has elevated her game to the next level. She is throwing harder and stronger, is faster, more agile and has more endurance to help play multiple games in the wisco heat and humidity. It also raised her from a backup position to a starter on her new team, which she was offered a position on the spot. I joined FIT just over 2 years ago after my PT recommended it . I met with Jared who assessed my goals and strengths. They focus on good technique and safe lifting habits while pushing you to believe in yourself. Max is my primary coach. We work well together. He listens to my needs and my mountain biking challenges and goals . It feels like a big family that supports each other . I enjoy the confidence and empowerment I feel from gaining all over strength and balance . This will be a tremendous advantage to me as I get older and continue my fun filled mountain biking adventure. Fit did an excellent job managing the pandemic and getting clients back to the gym in a safe manner . I love this gym and all the little nuggets of info I get from all the coaches . I would recommend again and again!
