Max completed a short internship at F.I.T. prior to becoming a full-time strength coach in December 2013. For eight years prior to joining the F.I.T. staff, he served as a gymnastics coach at Madtown Twisters. He was also an intern at CORE Health and Fitness in the summers of 2012 and 2013.
Max graduated from UW-La Crosse in the spring of 2013 with a bachelor’s degree in exercise and sports science. He’s certified as a Level 1 Sport Performance Coach through USA Weightlifting.
Max has trained for many sports, including football, track and field and gymnastics. He ran his first sprint-distance triathlon in Winona, Minn., in June 2013, and he plans to compete in Olympic weightlifting.
