The first intern at F.I.T., Luke joined the staff full-time in March 2013.

He earned a bachelor of arts degree in journalism and mass communication from the University of Wisconsin-Madison in May 2011. Luke is a certified strength and conditioning specialist (CSCS) through the National Strength and Conditioning Association and a Precision Nutrition Level 1 coach.

After spending some time as a sports writer, Luke switched career paths in 2012 and became a personal trainer, turning his passion into his profession.

He’s continued writing since becoming a strength coach, contributing to media outlets such as Muscle and Strength, Yahoo! Sports and Breaking Muscle. Luke also maintains his own website at LukeBriggsFitness.com.

He’s been active all his life. Luke played soccer, basketball and baseball in high school and has competed in both powerlifting and men’s physique as an adult.

He currently resides on the west side of Madison with his wife, Jennifer.

Luke once told a joke, but no one laughed. He’s been serious ever since.
